      Hi guys!

      I’m a podcast person and always looking for good PT related ones. What are some of your favorites? I’m a big fan of PTonICE (#crossfit…) and they do a daily 15 minute podcast on various topics. They also do “hump day hustle” that’s FREE – you sign up and each Wednesday they send you an email of cool new research, blog posts, and other new things happening in the PT world. I was thinking about this when Eric was talking about ways to get stuff pushed to you. It’s not purely research (sorry Eric) but I think it’s really helpful. Some other ones that are good: The #Ask Mike Reinold Show, Pain Reframed, Barbell Medicine, and EIM.

      Also, who are some of your PT people that you follow? As in, you’re watching for research they’re posting, following their instagrams, etc.

      If you guys are interested in something very research based I’ll suggest PT Inquest. It’s run by 2 Members of the American Academy of Sports Physical Therapy (formerly the APTA sports section). I find their stuff to be good clinically, but most helpful when evaluating research. They talk a lot about evaluating methodology and statistics. Fair warning, the first 15 minutes of each episode is a Q&A and some general nonsense which can be entertaining or not depending on your sense of humor. Anyway, a really good listen for when journal club and lit reviews are looming.

      I too am a podcast person for long runs and drives, so I am always looking for good PT related ones as well! Helen- I will have to check out the ones you suggested.

      I have listened to a few PT Inquest ones and they have been pretty good. Like Taylor says the first 15-ish minutes is kind of just random Q&A/chit-chat, so I tend to just fast forward through that part.

      Recently I listened to an episode of runchatlive podcast on Running Injury Assessment. That one in particular wasn’t all that great, but I am going to check out some of their other ones to see if they are better. This podcast isn’t a PT specific one though, so I’m not sure yet how applicable everything is to us.

      I follow Kettlebellphysio on Insta and they post a lot of suggestions on various podcasts and new research articles to check out. I also follow a PT (dr.nicolept) who posts a lot about rehab for soccer players and have listened to a few episodes of her podcast series (complete football health podcast) and they are pretty good. She also posts good ideas for progressive therex for treating soccer players and I personally have found some of the ones that are focused on ACL rehab helpful.

      I’m not the biggest podcast or social media person, but I’m definitely going to take the time to look some of these up. I’ve listened to a couple of the #AskMikeReinoldShow podcasts and thought he had some great nuggets to share. I follow the [P]Rehab Guys on Insta and reference some of their posts for exercise progressions/regressions for different things. They do a pretty solid job of giving different words or cues to help improve technique and form. They started a podcast earlier in the year too, so that might be another good one to check out, just for something a little different.
